DWTS – Week 2 (Marlee Matlin)

March 26, 2008

If you have not see the first part, you can click this to view the part one before this second part.

Marlee danced very well for second week in row. The judges were awed with her deafness and were very impressed with her. Obviously, her dance partner, Fabian; had helped her very much and guided her very well on the dance floor and also danced very flawlessly. The judges gave her a score of 8 points each for the total of 24 points for night.

Update: Marlee has survived from the elimination night yesterday. She is in the fourth place overall right now out of 10 dancers left. Don’t forget to vote her if you think she did it very well.

I had a nephew that would take some beating on the dance floor when it came down to break dancing etc, he was deaf but it was the vibration from the floor that help him with his moves

“Obviously, her dance partner, Fabian; had helped her very much and guided her very well on the dance floor and also danced very flawlessly.”

A true dancer accomodates his/her partner. Fabian’s skill is not because he is able to have “helped her very much” but because he was able to, skillfully, fit to his partner.

I am sure that the judges are aware of this and they have judged accordingly. Just the same, I hope Marlee and Fabian outshines all dancers and show the beauty in dancing (regardless of one or another’s ability).

I think its interesting that most deaf men have to have a female interpreter to be their “voice” because most interpreters are women, but Marlee chooses to hire one of the few rare male interpreters. Anyone know why she made that choice?

Marlee was beautiful and fabulous on the dance floor. Fabian is just wonderful to her; teaching her well. Bravo to both of them! Like Marlee said, “Fabian is a good teacher and I a good student.” It shows that “it takes two to tango!!! Way to go!!!
I’m watching as long as she’s dancing.
