CAAD in big mess!

Summary: Central Athletic Association of the Deaf (CAAD)’s struggles with their own way and won’t compromise with United States of America Deaf Basketball (USADB).
Also, CAAD celebrated 65 years of basketball tournament last March 2010 in Jacksonville, IL. They planned very poor tournament and you can see for yourself why it was screwed up last year. You can watch the video, CAAD basketball tourney was poorly planned.

Fookem and Bug 
That is too bad. I liked the late 1980’s and early 1990’s CAAD era. Many different organizations were running very smooth despite high volumes of Deaf/deaf/HOH players and teams during those times. The CAAD and National Softball Organizations did a very good job putting things together. I have been out of this since early 1990’s. It is different nowadays. I hope everything works out in the long run. Best Wishes.

I’m checking who the officers are on CAAD’s website, HOT DAMN! Same officers for years! Okay. CAAD has always given me so much good memories, both basketball and softball. This is not good at all. I wonder what are the CAAD people hiding? Why not work together with CBAD and let new younger leaders take over the organization. We wonder why youth don’t get involved, deaf clubs are dwindling, sports venue are dwindling and all that. So, we should blame the death of deaf culture on those older generation who refuse to let the younger generation become leaders?
The major question here is WHY do we have the same people controlling CAAD for years? There need to be a limit on that. Put it in the by-laws.

Anyway, JFLmad, you did a good job explaining all this. Oh, by the way that letter from CAAD to Indyhawks is very VAGUE! It’s not clear. They have to point to specific rule/policy or by-laws that gives them the right to reject Indyhawks. Shame on them.

Hello..that’s interesting.. You cannot kick a team out of tha CAAD because of their winnings or so.. Its like the nba is telling chicago bulls(mj/pippen/rodman days) that they cannot play anymore due to high volume of winnings.. . Geez wake up and smell the coffee… It is misuse of the power. It is an open door for a lawsuit for indy hawks to win. Read the bylaws

Excellent vlog! It is clear that CAAD officers violate MANY bylaws. It is time for you and other players to STAND up and tell them to get lost! Like Candy said, it is time for younger people to take over.
Yes, we know USADB had its own problems but the new officers have worked very hard to fix the problem. They are very committed to make USADB better for ALL PLAYERS.

caad definitely need new officers. bonnie wally and neal are just old and bitter people. they are very judgmental and unprofessional. “as the results of high volume protests”??? i bet its just them three that decided that.

DUES AND EXPENSES
Section 1. Each active member club of the deaf shall pay annually its renewal membership dues
(See Appendix B1) for the USADB and/or NSAD
dont the three know the bylaws?? theyve been around long enough!
i remember that at usadb last year.. some people were speaking on behalf of caad.. saying that caad needs to stay with usadb because of tradition. look at what caad did to usadb.. they left usadb. thats breaking tradition.
new people need to take over caad.
lastly…. why is no one going to cbad? thats my question.

My question is why did the coaches voted to kick Indy Hawks out of CAAD. WSAD, Chi Town, Stags, Central Zone,Flint, Detroit, GMAD. Whats wrong witrh you people? Are you trying to win CAAD title easily without Hawks.
I have got to agreed with you that CAAD need new younger officers but the problem here is that those 3 pimps (CAAD Officers) are so insecured about themselves and afraid to loose the power they have to someone else or someone else that will do much better.
CBAD do have 3 teams and 2 of them are going to USADB for sure. CAAD have 8 teams because NDBO will be held in Chicago and it is cheaper for them to go to NDBO rather than go to Minnestoa. or Are those teams a true traitors to USADB?. We will see what happens next year.
Bottom line is CAAD is the most rebellious region. CAAD Officers broke either or all of them (USADB, NSAD, CAAD.s) by-laws everyyear since 2005

Neal’s letter to Indy Hawks makes no sense to me. I never see a such thing like this. Like in NBA David Stern never lets coaches and players to vote. Why not we vote to terminate CAAD officers, I bet they shit in their pants that they should not ban Indy Hawks.
When you are in Michigan for CAAD, be sure to video if something happens. We love to hear from you, not CAAD officers as we don’t trust them.
Interesting… I guess something will come up at Lansing, Mich this friday.. I support Indiana Hawks to come n play with us.. I am coach of my team.. I did not vote them out.. There is alot issues I need to learn more!! Lol.. Nice Vlog!

Whats result at CAAD meeting?
some organization have same officers for years because they officer whant to stay in power forever and dont want other to take over. I have tried to join an organization before and had hard time to get throgh them. This is always a lot of drama …. now this is happening to CAAD. nothing new here…. i agree they need to step down and let the new leaders to take over.
