    Many things to explain everyone who is hearing people should not sign I love you in deaf people which it still too confusion.

    It belongs to Deaf people. Hearing People seem took steal their ILY sign in Deaf community.

    All I know that my dear friend told me how she started use sign ILY. It was around year of 1950’s.. She had her boyfriend who she married to. That time she could not dare to spell I Love You at deaf school. she was too shy so they both decided invent sign ILY for years til they got married..
    I love them so dear.. They are so great couple.

    Hey we love u all, too. I would never forget in late 70s. I dated a wonderful hearing guy. I accidently showed “ily” to him. He was puzzled and asked me what was that. I felt embarrassed and “lied” that it means “I Like You”. He got surprised. Guess what? He invited me to go to his family’s home. All showed me “ily” when meeting me. He taught that sign to his family. Later he finally told me he loved me. I said ily too. Then I explained about it. He laughed. I was shy but couldn’t wait for him to say ily to me first.

    To me that sign are abused deeply and lost the real meaning of loving… I refused to buy any item that using sign. I prefer to buy crossed arm over heart, that is more reality of showing love. I had seen gang code usage of hand sign “ILY” on Discovery channel. Most of all you did not mentioned that Pres Carter did use that sign during his campaign…

    I am deaf From Australia in state of Victoria,Melbourne. I did love see deaf sign language lot of different signing round the world i do understand not at all countries some language i know England, America,few other country but i do love all countries different languages i can absorb that signing by mime expression facial that help me understand to communicate each other i have been in America Los angles and Las Vegas about 10 years ago . i am interesting to meet deaf people in America Anyway you know how you feeling about deaf life really it was impression love gathering Deaf people ok Bye love all deaf world I like I-L-Y with your hand Smile happy i love all deaf show I-L-Y GEORGE
