Summary: We visited Beijing, Tian’anmen Square, the great plaza where Mao Tse-Tung held immense parades. We visited Forbidden City, the vast 15th century complex of palaces, courtyards, and gardens where the emperors and courts of the Ming and Qing dynasties once presided. Also, we met three deaf Chinese students.
