Full Moon

Written By Bug

Before midnight Fookem emailed me a picture of the full moon. He said ” I came home from work and saw the beautiful moon. I ran to my house and grabbed my new SLR camera to shoot the full moon. Why not give a try to see if it comes out good pix or not.” He took a picture at 11:30 p.m. outside the city of Chicago. Neat picture.

I thought it was an exact full moon. I checked my atmoic clock and it showed that we have a full moon last night. But the full moon calendar date is April 20th. Tonight you will see the full moon. Take your camera with you and try picture it then email us at fookembug@yahoo.com before April 27th. We will post them next month. Be sure to tell us where you saw the full moon and the time. Also, please feel free to leave your comment in here and share your experience.

You can find below the full moons calendar dates this year. The time is in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). If your local time zone is currently on daylight savings time, you need to add one hour to the standard time listed in the U.S.

I would love to see other people’s photo of the moon… it is really hard to take photo being close to the moon. I do see beauty in the moon and does relax me when I sit down on the lawn chair….

    It always beautiful full moon.
Funny story, When I was single mom and expected a baby. On Jan 24th, I start had contractions, I could not sleep and saw full moon. I could not sleep from midnight.
I got hospital for induce at 7 am. RN nurse say I have to go to Everett Hospital .. I said ” What I want to stay here Edmonds here.. not Everett.
ASL interpreter and RN were little heat arguement.” I had to stopped them to not arguement front me. I said what wrong.. Interpreter wont tell me .. I have a feeling sense about my deafness.

Three hours later Doctor say what time you start contractions. I said more likely 3 AM.. He say Oh, my god! you are 4th patient all of my other patient have a same 3 am. He say Must be full moon! I say Duh?

Really weird! I researched and it is true.. Often people become crazy on full moon. Not all same time.. but depend on what case you involved or incidents.
I learn that cop hate full moon when something happened and Hosptial will always got a unexpected patient by accidents or crazy or overdose, etc.

I thought I share with you,

What kind of camera (brand/model) did you have when you took a picture of the moon? What zoom lens did you use? It’s a beautiful picture.

Let you know that D40 almost same as D80 but D80 has better picutre but cheaper price is D40 mostly people buy D40 still good pitcures. If you are professional then use D80 if you not professional then dont use it.

    thank you

Noel Carboni’s site has one of my favorite pictures of the moon at the top. The other photos are pretty fantastic too. Of course he had the help of a nice big 10 inch wide telescope and image software.

Maximillan, the pictures are so awesome but I call it, ‘cheat’ cuz he uses the telescope and software.
