Sign Language Barbie Doll

In 1999, Sign Language Barbie was developed in partnership with the National Center of Deafness at California State University to ensure the doll instructed sign language accurately and was not offensive to deaf people or those hard of hearing.     I remember that doll! My parents got it for me when it came out and I was so excitied! I believe i still have it at home in Seattle. I never opened it because I knew it would be rareity.

    I recently bout two of these through a bid I won on EBAY. I bought two African American Sign Language dolls. One for me and one for a friend who is a collector. They are becoming tough to find but right now their are bids on ebay for them and criaglist as well. They are costing anywhere from 26-107 dollars. Goodluck on finding them. In the next few years they will be even harder to find. I paid 60 a piece for two. Totally worth it. This is a groundbreaking iconic Barbie.

    I bought my granddaughter one but it was in her mom’s storage while back and she didnt pay her storage, lost everything and I was very upset about that
    Wonder where will I get to find Sign Language Barbie doll again?

    the prices is so high now, i check it out and they are selling it for 80.00 to 95.00 but i will take less than that
