Ghosts just wanna have fun

October 21, 2007

Playground built over a historic cemetery is haunted by the ghosts of children of the old West…and the spooky spirits just want to play games with living Deaf kids!

We were requested not to give the name of school because they do not wish to invite the tourists coming to their schools. We respect. them

In 1967, the city of xxxx, xxxx, decided ground at Brewery Gulch across town in Evergreen Cemetery and turn what had been the grave yard into a public park near the school where many hearing and most Deafies attended

They were worried that the graves might be affecting local drinking water.

But despite their care in moiving the old coffins, some locals are sure that bygone town residents are still resting uneasily in XX XXX

“I let my three 2 deaf and hearing children play at the park but I’ve always felt a chill when I go there” says Lena BBaca, her child told me they were playing with children in strange clothes and having fun until they suddenly faded away. ” My children and I believe that ghosts are deaf because they used their gestures a lot to communciate with us. At first I thought these were just imaginary friends my kids desciribned. Then I actually saw them and panicked. I saw a group of kids wearing old clothes like the one you see in Western movie. One of the youngster began to cry. I ran over to try help the child and then suddenly the entire group vanished into air, ” she said.

(Oops! Not done with a ghosty story. I suspected a ghost tried to stop me from reporting….I fell asleep after I saw a white shadow near my fireplace, I accidently posted this last night. excuse my delay…)

I met a deaf guy who graduated from that school. His name is Matthew. He witnessed the ghosty children playing at the ground. He said, ” A couple of other times, I’ve had groups of kids see children who seem very friendly, but are missing hands, and arms or other body parts, and who vanish after coming over to play.

“But no one has ever been hurt by the ghosts , and they honestly seem harmless to me. It’s just something we have here (xxx) that’s a little bit different”.

No hands or arms? I thought the lady mentioned that children used the gestures. I wish I could ask her again to see if she saw the hands and arms. I am sure everyone has different experience with the ghosts.

It is up to you to believe it or not. I will write some more ghost stories this week. A few weeks ago I visited the old barn where the ghosts live. Also I have a few pictures of ghosts I saw when I was in Germany last year. Ready to see it this week?

LOL, I have been reading a little bit of these ghost stories. I’m actually a very scaredy person, but some of these are so funny that make me at ease. I was always telling to myself that since I’m hard of hearing I will not be able to hear a ghost speak to me… Ooops! Now there are Deafie ghosts?! Uh-oh! I hope I never encounter one. I hope it doesn’t worses my insomnia due to the darkness. These stories, despite the fun, they make me feel me more vulnerable 😦

Hi..I graduated at Oregon School for the Deaf 1992. All I remember when I was in freshman and alway feel terrible at boy’s dorm basement and was not sure what was bothering me. Later when I became 11th grade, I had my own room in girl’s dorm behind office and small bedroom. I felt someone was walking by me and touched me and woke up and saw a young child walked away into closet. I could see and it was a sad small boy child. This child is harmless. I’ve been wondering for so many years and I would like to find out about ghost in girl’s dorm. Is anybody have the same experience of what you saw at Oregon School for the deaf? Let’s share. E mail is DMH1972Curly@aol.com
