Deaf Teen Charged With Killing Father

March 14, 2007

GULF SHORES, Ala. — A 19-year-old deaf high school student was charged with shooting his father to death. Police in Gulf Shores said it happened Monday night at a residence the two men shared.

Officers said 48-year-old Wilbur Clark, a local mechanic, died from a gunshot to the chest.

The victim’s son, Casey Clark was charged with his murder and was placed in the Baldwin County Jail. He awaits a bond hearing today.

No motive was given and police said the younger’s Clark hearing impairment prevented him from being questioned.
