Using of VRS service in FaceTime on your iPhone4

Summary: I want to clarify some misunderstood among us of how to use your FaceTime on your iPhone 4. We can use FaceTime to “videophone” only if both parties have iPhone 4 and also you can call vrs company on your iPhone4 using FaceTime as well! As of now, there are 2 vrs companies available to use and they are iZ by Zvrs and iwrelay. iZ don’t have an app as what iwrelay have and you have to dial the phone number to call iZ and it will charge you .40 cents per minute until iZ receive your call and they will hang up and call you back using FaceTime then it will be free from there. As for iwrelay, they have an app for you to download and you can place a call instantly on it and it’s free at all!, no hidden cost like what iZ does. Zvrs did not explain that .40 cents thing at NAD conference when they mentioned that they are the first company to make a change of using vrs service on FaceTime, they should of have doing that in the first place. I hope other that vrs company such as Purple, Sorenson and the others will develop their own app so that way we can have different choice which vrs company to use on FaceTime! Thanks!

For iwrelay, go to iTunes store and download their app (type iwrelay in search box) and follow from there. For iZ, call 866.323.2231 (866.32FACE1).

Truth is ZVRS already knew and don’t want anyone to learn and get upset that they will end up paying 40 cents per minute. What i know is all VRS company are crooks and hiding cost in fine tiny prints like all others would do. i am happy with my EVO and its defintely much better than iPhone with bumpers. Yuck!
David, yes FaceTime to FaceTime is absolutely free!!
I must agree with KarlMarx. ZVRS should have shared this billing information before they released this neat relay service app for us to use FaceTime. This would be very much hassle for everyone. I got comments from family and friends, they were not very pleased!
Pretty obviously that IWRELAY is the FIRST VRS PROVIDER to have VRS service with iPhone 4, not ZVRS. I have iPhone 4, love it! Using with point-to-point chat only. IWRELAY is nice, absolutely free. IWRelay do not have any $$$ to sponsor NAD conference. ZVRS was the major sponsor at NAD then, use the marketing strategy to promote their iZ app with iPhone 4. They announced to release to the public on ADA day (july 26th) then, IWRelay announced with new product release on July 12th.
KarlMarx, just to be clear, there has never been a charge for ZVRS itself. However, when you dial the number for ZVRS on iPhone 4, there is a short period before FaceTime is set up that is considered to be an audio call. This brief connection period will be subject to your current rate plan. If you have a data only plan, the current charge from AT&T is $0.40/minute. So, be aware that you will likely be charged $0.40 each time you place a call through ZVRS on iPhone 4. This is the cost of the audio call, NOT the cost of the FaceTime/ZVRS session. So, The Z™ makes no money off of this charge. This information has been available to customers on our website.
The good news is that we will soon release a ZVRS app that will replace the special phone number for ZVRS calls on iPhone 4. This new app will eliminate the charge, so the issue will be resolved. We’re also excited to be working on other apps to expand ZVRS to other mobile devices. This is new technology, and there will be bumps along the way, but will will continue to work to improve our products and services (with feedback from VRS customers like yourself) to provide the best possible VRS.
