Summary: In the morning, we visited the Summer Palace, set amid parkhike grounds with an expansive lake. Explore one of Beijing’s oldest neighborhoods, as we went on a fascinating trishaw (bicycle-powered rickshaw) rode through the narrow lanes of a hutong, one of Beijing’s traditional neighborhoods. We visited local family for lunch in their home. Later, we stopped to visit a local family for tea, with an opportunity to chat and ask questions.

My dream is to go back to China some day. I lived here many moons ago when dad was in the forces and I was to young to remember, however old enough to enjoy Chinese food.
